The gullwing doors open upwards, not outwards. So no matter how tight your parking spot is, you’ll never have trouble opening the door wide enough to get out.

We know the unthinkable happens, and when it does we want to make sure you’re prepared. That’s why your Aptera comes with a full complement of driver and passenger airbags.

Front Impact Zone

Your Aptera’s nimble handling should be more than adequate to help you avoid almost any collision. In the unfortunate case that you cannot, feel secure in knowing your vehicle is equipped with a front impact zone fashioned after the systems that protect race car drivers in high-speed collisions.

Side Impact Beams

Aptera is committed to your protection. That’s why both doors feature integrated side impact beams that distribute the force of a side impact as far away from you as possible.

Passenger Safety Cell/Cabin

We broke the rules again by creating a super-strong composite and aluminum safety cell to protect you and your passenger. We then added airbags, aluminum door reinforcements and more just because we like overdoing it on safety.

Currently Aptera 2e availability is limited to residents of California. We will work hard to bring this vehicle to the rest of the country and to international customers as soon as possible.
