Lexus world debut of the 2010 HS250h- the worlds first dedicated hybrid will be 30 percent more better than the most fuel- efficient car in the line up today.

Although Lexus’ all-new H250h and Toyota’s FT-EV are both made by the same manufacturer, they are by no means made equal, as showgoers saw first hand on opening day at the Detroit Motor Show. The exterior definitely beats out the futuristic theme of the FT-EV, and a comfortable luxury interior is something everybody likes to see. The H250h will be the first luxury gas-electric hybrid to join Lexus’ lineup and is set to arrive in dealerships this summer. Sporting an estimated mid-$30,000 retail price, the HS250 will provide an alternative to Lexus’ three other hybrids in their lineup, which have retail values as high as $105,885 with less fuel efficient hybrid setups. The HS250 will be powered by a 4-cylinder 2.4L Atkinson-cycle engine capable of 187hp.

Look out….you may just see a white Lexus H250h driving in the Central Valley of California with a EVBeat.com bumper sticker on it.
