There are no service stations, Tesla has a mobile service team that comes to you, making house calls to perform whatever service you might need (keep in mind there are far fewer opportunities for things to break/wear out in an EV when compared to traditional ICE, no oil changes, etc). Tesla is not franchising dealerships, they are more akin to the Apple stores model. The charge for having the service team come to your house right now is $1/roundtrip mile away from the nearest Tesla store (more of which are being built, should be reasonable by the time the Model S comes out) but that certainly can be a factor if you live in the South or the Midwest.

No one seems to mention cost of battery replacement long term. This is very important and is a back breaker if cost runs high. Any comments?
Also service stations are limited considering a once yearly visit 400miles away from me……..
